Default grinding sound in the rear

hey,
I have a v6 manual mustang and when I am on a hill,takeing a right coner or the rpms are at about 1500 it sounds like something is grinding in the rear end.any ideas what it might be

You haven't added a limited slip differential have you?

I would definitely check to make sure your wheels lug nuts are properly tightened.

have you done any kind of maintenance or upgrades that involved the rear of the car?

It could be a ring and pinion problem.

could be.
I am also thinking a bad bearing on the rear hub. if the sound is more noticable when you make a right turn, there is more weight on the left rear wheel. making that bearing scream for dear life.

no i have not done any modifications to the rear end.i am putting new black cobra r wheels on tommorrow and i will check the bearings
