Default Oil on top of Engine

Lately I have been smelling a burning smell all the time in my car. I looked closely today and noticed that there is a decent amount of oil sitting on top of the engine right under the injectors. Would this possibly mean a bad head gasket? Anybody have this problem before? I never would have expected any gaskets to go bad on a car that is only 4 years old.

Supercharged and bad gaskets suprise you ???
Check your pcv lines and see if they are filled with oil.
Clean the engine and keep an eye on the spots to see if you can determine where the oil is coming from.

my guess would be valve covers. ford has been known for gasket problems( ford trucks were the worst, and it was something silly like 250.00 in labor and 30.00 parts, but nothing that couldnt be done on a day off work), valve and oil pan gaskets.

I would also check the valve covers first. Pull them and check the seals and then retorque to 89 lb-in.

I checked more closely today and found the thick white gunky substance under my engine oil cap. This led me to believe there is water in the oil. Along with that my anti freeze level is getting lower and from what I understand this is a good sign of a bad head gasket or the head itself. The car runs fine other then the leak so I am guessing its just a bad head gasket.

Condensation can form in the cap and cause that... is there any evidence on the dipstick? Any oil muck in the coolant?
Have a shop pressure test the cooling system... that will confirm or deny coolant passing into the oil. Compression test would be a second confirmation.
