I talked to doug at bamachips who said that the screamin demon coil was completely worthless and not worth a single horsepower on the dyno. (but he also said they didnt replace the wires or plugs) But ive heard alot of people on here say they felt a difference and its worth getting. So, can people say where the felt the difference, was it at WOT? or lower rpms only, i was pretty convinced that i should get it, and now im not sure again ; (

Dude, Doug didn't replace the wires which is a HUGE mistake. You CANNOT get any new gains without the new wires to handle the larger spark... so he can't really speak. I bought the coil and I know at least 3 other guys who have also bought it and they'll agree with me you'll feel a gain. Word of advice also, Bosch makes some good spark plugs for our cars, +2's and Fusions are what people are running in here, but try gapping your stock plugs first. Nobody has tried that yet and I'm interested to see if that makes a difference. SCREAMIN' DEMOn FTW!!!

Led Zepplin77, have you done any dynos with your current setup, I am getting the tune/C&L CAI, and im planning on getting the GT takeoff muffler
Nope, sorry dude, I plan on getting some head or cam work done before I get a dyno tune, and if you are planning on getting a GT Takeoff muffler check out V6MustangStuff.com or Newtakeoff.com they are offering this sweet new package that gives you true duals really cheap, it's like 250 bucks, I paid 100 just for my mufflers. Also if you haven't bought anything yet, VMP Tuning offers a CAI, tuner, and gt muffler pack.

did it give me huge hp ? of course not. did it give me more spark? maybe better performance? possibly. but one thing i do know, it didnt hurt i never had a dyno, but ive got all the parts you want to get, plus the real deal exaust. performance isnt just about hp, cause the gear you want wont give you any more hp either, just performance

Well i havent anything exhaust wise, but i dont think ill get duals unless i can find a GT bumper, i dont feel like cutting a hole in mine .
I have heard that duals dont really help that much unless you have F/I

Cutting the rear bumper was a piece of cake. Just use a cd disk and measure it accordingly to the other side. Took just 10 minutes to do. As far as the screamin demon coil,go with the wires and new plugs, it was highly recommended in 5.0 magazine. I love the sound of the GT takeoffs. I went with the H pipe. Check on this forum for more details.

Where is that thread? I am extremely interested in this lol! I have a pair of Gt Muffs, one is on my car, the other is just rusting, where do I get the H-Pipe and mid pipe? And the hangers too?

Did 5.0 magazine also test the coil on the 4.0 V6 or just the 5.0 V8?
Considering the only two v8 engines available for the S197 are the 4.6 and the 5.4, I doubt they tested on the 5.0 They usually have a few test on the 4.0, you'd just have to read some of theire articles to know.

as long as you get the plugs and wires aswell you will feel a difference through out the power band. i went with the bosch fussion and msd wires. the difference was there. i did notice that with out the plugs and wires, it felt like i had taken power away. i have heard of people saying that you don't get anything out of exhaust. that is not accurate. i went with the pypes 69 series true duel with x-pipe . at this time it was one of my first upgrades. after i installed it, it sounded alot louder, and i did feel a difference in performance. actually a decent amount more. i also installed shorty headers at the same time. one thing i have noticed is that if it will give more power to a v8, it will give more power to a v6 aswell. i have heard alot of talk about things not making a difference, it is time to show them that the same rules of phisics apply. i have just about everty bolt-on you can have for the 4.0. everything i have done has made an improvement. some not as much as others, but an improvement never the less. infact, my mustang is getting an aluminum flywheel and stage 2+ clutch installed right now. after they do that they are going to dyno tune it and i will post the numbers so that all the people claiming you don't get the power will see what a full list of bolt-ons will do.
man longalan2, you got that thing pretty decked out with parts. it will be cool to see the dyno numbers. i agree, everything we do as far as hi-po parts increases performance, whether its a little or alot, its all good

alright, well ill prolly have to wait at least two weeks, because i just bought the cai/tuner/gt muffler, but ill add the coil/wires/plugs to my list.
Ill probably replace the plugs anyways now since they are the origional plugs
