my cyl is actually all right, its the other bank that is giving me problems now -_-. im trading the car in, all ive got to do is get it running enough to trade the *****.
How can the cylinder be ok with a damaged plug? What damaged the plug? What's the problem with the other bank?

ive seen that happen. ive pulled plugs out and had electrodes bent tight,0 gap and not firing. my first thought was carbon broken loose. fix the plug, ran sea foam to clean out the upper engine, ran it and pulled the plugs only to find a different plug in a different cly in the same condition. pulled the rocker cover to find one of the rockers had come loose on even a different cyl. first time i ever saw that. so it is possible.

to follow up on that, never did figure out what was smashing the plugs. they came out smashed and very carbony. re reinstalled the rocker, set all the rockers with feeler guages, fixed and cleaned all the plugs( which were brand new bosch plugs) and the motor ran great, and i thought the motor was toast. it was however a 4 cyl.

actually my uncle is incharge of financing and sales at a chevy dealership and im going to be getting a really good deal on a nearly fully loaded 2009 cobalt ss (would be fully loaded but 100 bucks for just a USB port is not worth it to me)
