Did anyone have the problem of interior light not turning off. I am having that problem now. I disconnected the neg battery for an hour. Still on, not sure what to do from here. I look for a fuse but dont see one listed in the manual. Is there anything else I can do. I made appt for the dealership tomorrow. Rather not go there so if anyone has some suggestion, open to try almost anything, beside take apart the car.

Check to see if the carpeting by the passenger kick panel is wet. The Smart junction box is located behind that panel and it controls that light among other things. Some cars have water leaking there.

Okay always heard of that problem, but never had it. But since you mention it, I went out to check. make sure it did not start. Not a problem, not damp or wet. But it may be just going SJB, that is. Hope my warranty is still in effect. Good thing the lights turn off after ten minutes. Dont know what else to check. But thanks for the quick reply.

These cars are so computerized now that sometimes we overlook what might be the simple solution.

Well as most of you know. I took my car in on 02/11/09 at 8am. I was told the part will not be in, until 2:30 pm. I had to got to work. So they told me to bring it back early on 02/12/09. Once again the part wasnt there and wont be there until 12:30pm. Then they called me to the front desk, to tell me the part wont be in until 02/13/09. They rent me a kia, something, a tiny little economy four door. Car is real good on gas. But I hoping it will be ready tomorrow, tired the back and fourth.
