I tryed two of the different tunes but both seem to have the same problem, im going to go back to the stock tune to see if it will go away but i think the MAF might be to blame, whats the best way to clean it?

Get some CRC MAF cleaner and follow the directions. You can buy it at most autoparts stores.
Also clean your throttle body and if that don't help give Doug a call or email him.
First off, don't go back to the stock tune until you reinstall the stock air housing, other wise you will be running lean. And when I first installed mine, it idled around 1700 rpm right after install. It sounded mean as a damn bear. But after I drove it around for a day, all was right.

I have the same setup, 91 race tune from DOug and C&L intake + Xcal3, everything was fine.
Make sure you put the MAF in the right direction, although i dont believe you can put it on the wrong way but anything is possible. Then reconnect battery for 15-20 min to reset your computer and everything should be fine

Try reloading the tune, that might help. Check and ensure the rev limiter on the tune you load isn't set down too low. Are you running the correct octane of gas? Also check and ensure all your cables are connected tight.

OK, i tried to drive it and barely made it home. I disconnected the MAF and it improved dramatically, but I do not want to drive it. Based on this I am going to replace the MAF......am I on the right track?

Disconnecting battery for 15-20 min always help for glitches and problems. Try running the stock tune and stock intake and see if you have the same result, if everything is good with stock intake and tune, your MAF should be fine and the tune would definitely be the one that causing this. Try contacting Doug before you do anything or you can hurt the engine seriously
