Don't waste your money on the throttle body spacer. I tried to figure out how it could possibly do anything for power and I got nothing. A hunk of metal that increases the length of the path the air has to take. Theoretically it is not a good thing, but increasing it by an inch or so will have negligible side affects.

The wires/coil/plugs combo has good reviews. I plan on doing that pretty soon.

Aside from doing major mods to the engine itself, I don't know if there is much left to do that will give results, aside from handling.

Thanks a lot for all of your input guys, Once i install 4.10's t-lok and the driveshaft, i will be adding underdrive pulleys and new tires. If i have cash left over i might as well try out the throttle body and spacer. If it works i'll make a post letting you all know.

Thanks again!

a throttle body spacer increases the plenum volume, making more power, a little power, but power nonetheless, i actually just ordered one, from ebay, for 30 bucks

What exactly is plenum volume and how does it relate to making power?

Might be that a slightly longer intake path with the spacer could shift the torque peak a bit lower in the rpm range.

I'm not going to bother getting a spacer though.

How would that work? If that is the case than I can create a really long spacer...

Relates to ram tuning on your intake.

Here's some info I just found.

Haven't read in detail, but looks like it should be interesting.

Oh, and I'm not saying it happens.

I'm just saying that if some people get a seat of the pants difference, it might be due to the torque curve shifting around.

Not that there's necessarily any more power, even.

Or it is all in their head.

Thanks for the article, I'll read it later on.

I'm getting a Zabteck throttle body though.

Bunch of people reported better throttle response.

Two people reported torque and hp gains on the dyno. And I just was told today that Doug from Bamachips tuned a car that picked up 14hp. No dyno sheet for that one though.

i dont care if it only gives me 1 hp, its only 30 bucks, i just cant pass that up.
American muscle claims 8 rwhp and 8 ft lbs of torque, im not really expecting that but i am expecting SOMETHING

Should be fine.

It's a custom modified OEM throttle body complete with the electronics.

External dimensions are the same.

Btw, the group buy is closing this Saturday.
