Default 2007 Mustang V6.Basics are done, next step for mods?

Hey everyone i drive an 07 Auto Mustang V6.

I do not plan on going super, turbo, or nitrous.
I do not plan on doing any major custom mods.
This is my daily driver but i don't care very much for aesthetic mods.

I have an exhaust, cai and tune, and will be installing new gears, t-lok, and an aluminum drriveshaft in about a month.

Other mods i have looked into are underdrive pulleys, throttle bodies and throttle body spacers.

I have heard many times over that the throttle body spacers and throttle bodies do not do much for our cars, but i'm running out of ideas and i'm just trying to get any last push out of my car without doing major mods.

With regards to underdrive pulleys, i was wondering if anyone could verify a strong power increase and reccomend a set.

Since i do not plan on going f/i, nitrous, or major custom mods, where should i go from here?

Thanks everyone for your advice!

A lot of guys have replaced the sparkplug wires and even the coil and found some extra power.

Throttle body spacer won't do anything. Throttle body won't do anything without FI.
Have you considered the suspension or brakes?
The stock brakes are small and marginal on the car. GT takeoffs would make a big difference in stopping and safety.
Assuming you don't have a pony package, a rear sway bar would make a major difference in handling.
Aftermarket control arms would help getting your power to the ground in a more controlled manner.

I want to say heads and cams or a stroker but they're major mods and aren't necessarily conducive to a daily driver. I do agree with the coil pack and plug wires though, i've heard a lot of good feedback on them.

Suspension should be your next move. Some mild lowering springs, a set of GT sway bars, an adjustable rear panhard bar and a strut tower brace will turn your car into a very favorable turning machine. Upper control arm and lower control arms can help you put your power to the ground a bit better and will help to eliminate wheel hop, if you're experiencing any.

Wheels and tires could also be an idea. Get some stickies and improve your launches and cornering!

An aftermarket stereo system?

http://i17.photobucket.com/albums/b7...ang/dyno08.jpg

i installed the bbk throttle body and CAI with a STEEDA throttle body spacer all together it make a whistle like a turbo and it scares off most rice rockets and some GTs new and old (but i bet they were all stock GTs) i enjoy his mod more than any thing else

He also has the 3.8l motor, the new stang has a 4.0.

You'll come to find that the 2005+'s are a whole new animal compared to the old ones.

I'm going to have to disagree with you on the throttle body spacer. I put one that vortex's my air on my 2008 V6 and I notice a little bit more giddyup. It's not much, but its something. Something I think would be worth it esecially for the cheap price of a throttle body spacer.

if you all would read what the OP has to say, he says he is just trying to get the most power out of his motor WITHOUT major mods. so, go ahead and get the tb and tb spacer as it will not give you crazy power BUT WILL HELP. also if you really just want to get everything you can, get some shorty headers or LT headers (LT headers being the best way to go). but make sure you get that coil pack and wires!!!

you could also buy a ram air kit maybe. some udps will help as well

It was an s197 V6 with a Zabteck TB.

I had reposted Torch Vert's dyno(normally aspirated) sheet here:

He posted originally on mustang collective.
