Exclamation HELP ASAP! Yet Another Battery Problem!

Well I've about had it with batteries. Over the weekend my battery decided to mysteriously die on me in the garage overnight again. nothing was left on, nothing was draining the battery. I put it on the charger for an hour and came back. Well as i was unhooking it, i realized it sounded like it was bubbling/boiling. Well that didn't seem right at all. I didn't even try to start it, i just took my clamps off and left it over night. This morning i started the car just fine, no problems. Go to work at 8 and came back out to my car at 3. Dead, nothing but the clicking starter. Had to have a friend jump me, then i drove to car quest and bought a brand new replacement battery. Not cheap. Now I dont know if i can replace my battery, because i cannot return back to stock or really do anything on my sct livewire. Doesnt it reset the PCM if i disconnect the battery? Its got a 93oct tune, and a JLT CAI. I dont really wanna lose those. Please help me out and tell me what i need to do. I think im gonna give SCT a call, and a find out how to fix my broken 500$ tuner. Also, any suggestions to why my battery got me to work then wouldnt start would be great too. Im still fuming.

You will be fine changing out the battery, it does not effect the tune. As for the livewire, who knows, thats why I just stuck with the Xcal 3. It sounds as if you have a battery problem. How many miles are on the car and is it the orginal battery? Hopefully swapping out the batteries will fix you up. And the reason the battery will get you to work and then die is while the car is running, the altenator produces enough power to run the car, all the battery is for is starting up the process. Thats the reason you can get a stick shift to start by rolling it down a hill with no battery.

ok sounds great, next thing i need to address is SCT customer service. can anyone give me a direct phone number to someone who cares that i have a hunk of junk in my car? not happy with sct at all, and im about to just sell the whole dang car. in the meantime, ill go put my new battery in, and see how it works.(as for my explanation, after 23000mi on a stock battery, its really been through a lot i suppose. Alternator failure was probably pretty rough on it, so was the half a dozen time or so that i left a light on or didnt shut my door all the way and drained the battery overnight) thanks for the help so far, now i just gotta get that SCT problem fixed asap!

Did you check the charging system with a digital volt meter? Start the car and check the voltage accross the batt. you should have something at or just over 14 volts.

Take a deep breath brotha.... You will get through this. SCT problem/battery problem... whatever... but don't shoot yourself in the foot in spite of your leg... Your car is AWESOME (did I capitolize that? OH wait I did) so fix the little problems and don't let them fluster you. All cars break down. Period. It isn't IF..... it is when.. and the test of your metal is how you react, and fix. This is a little deal in the big picture, and you will figure it out one way or the other, but dont even joke about selling the car cuz the battery is sheit. It spooks the rest of us. Quit spookin.
LOL
Bill.

haha, i was just sh!ttin the sellin the car option, haha id never do that. iv just been callin sct for the last 3 days and no answer, busy i guess. just need some ideas on what to do. took my stock oem battery to carquest so i could get 10$ back and had em test it. it had 8 volts on a full charge. HA! then we tested the new battery w/ the car running, made 14.5 volts. so it was definately the battery. i was just worried it was my alternator again, and to fix that i would need to take it to the dealer under warranty, but i didnt wanna risk taking it there with the tune and cai causing me to lose any part of my warranty. i cant return to stock without reading my lcd screen, so i would have been screwed. still have the livewire problem though, so any thoughts or ideas would be greatly apprecitated.
