What would be some good modifications to do to my 2008 Mustang 4.0 V6 manual? I don't want to spend a ridiculous amount right now because I'm broke but want to modify my car to get more power.

If your looking for some not too expensive horse power gain, maybe look into geting some aftermarket exhaust: like some magnaflows just the mufflers. they run to be in the low $100's for each, and thats coming from the factory, im sure you can find a better deal if you search around. Then you can evolve from there like cold air intake, or maybe just a K&N filter, (I have that). You can surprisingly feel the difference, mainly in acceleration though. They run around $45 bucks.

A GT muffler swap will net ~8-10hp. I did that on my girlfriends 07 V-6 and it sounds a bit meaner and a little louder but I never dynoed it to see the gains but it felt like it had more of a punch then before. I got 2 take off GT mufflers from a buddy online for $20 and just installed the passenger side one. Very simple to do and should only take about an hour.

Do you know any good places online to get cheap mufflers like that that are in great condition?

Post up on local forums with a wanted to buy thread. Usually guys have them sitting around and don't want to much. There are places that sell take off mufflers but they want 70-80 bucks for them which I think is to much.
