So I'm looking at putting the American Thunder Exhaust on my car and I want to go dual exhaust with it but I'm still really unclear about how to do this. I know its possible because I've seen it so if I buy the full exhust system that is for the GT Mustang is it possible to put it on my car? Why can or can't I? I emailed Flowmaster to ask them and they said no, but I'm unsure of why exactly. Anyone know any answers or a way I can pull it off? If so what parts specifically would I need and if I do I'm going to do headers while I'm there so is there something I should know about doing the exhaust and how new headers might affect the installation? Thanks!

if you want to keep the car somewhat legal, and help the environment, you should not remove the cats. go with shorty headers, bolt right in to the cats. then the y pipe that comes out of the cats needs to be cut off and apart, a x or h pipe, or separate mid pipes, 2 over axle pipes, hangers and mufflers of your choice. i went with a stainless steel jba h pipe and over axles, i didnt want loud and i found the gt takeoffs to be just right for me.
