I am trying to get a BamaChips custom tune for my 06 Mustang 4.0L, and the website has where to fill in the specs for the car. It asks for the 'calibration code or strategy' and the 'axle code or gear ratio'. What are these things and where would I find out what they are for my car? Help Please.
If I'm not mistaken the calibration code is on a sticker on the passenger side door jam. Mine was faded beyond recognition on my 99, so I had to get into the cpu. It's also on the cpu case. Also if not mistaken the axle code is on the sticker on the drivers door jam. If I'm wrong, someone please jump in.

on bamachips.com on the v6 sctxcal 3 page there are links that show you where you can find the codes. to find your calibration code pop the hood. if you are standing in front of the car and facing it, you will see a small black box near you to your left. It will say a 4 digit code, letters and numbers.
if you have a 2005+ v6 you can just put in 3.31 as your axle ratio if you can't find the code. Its pretty easy though, if you open the drivers door and look down you will see a sticker. on the sticker is says axle code followed by 2 letters. thats the code.
Which is best? performance, racing, or torque on the BamaChips custom tune.
Doug only tuned my car for the performance and torque tune. the torque tune is more for low end, and the performance tune is for all out hp. It just depends on what you want to do. Both tunes were 93 octane because my Cobra calls for only 93.
