Did you recalibrate your speedo? Because if you didn't then it will read much differently than what you are actually doing. You will need to either buy a tuner or take it to a performance shop so that they can do it.

i did not. i didn't even think about that... i guess i was so jazzed about putting the axle on i didn't take that into consideration.... makes sense! thanks. driving on it for a few days won't hurt it will it?
a good excuse to buy a tuner, dont want a ticket... did you really think you were going that fast lol? would abeen a good chance to mess with you, something like, yea thats the down side to gears, youy go faster but have less fun or something lol

at first i was thinking that maybe it was a smoother ride cause of the new gears... you know like when you get that new car.... but then i said there is no way i'm going 80 it feels like 60! too funny! thanks for not messing with me... you know how us rookies are gullible!
not the only mod to the car.... so far i've done CAI, headers, dual exhaust, throttle body + spacer, pulley kit... next i'm going with internals. last thing is supercharger... aside from getting it all dynoed.

Im curious how did you put a CAI without a tuner? I would be surprised if you didnt damaged anything so far IF you didnt have a tune for it.
Definitely get a tuner, i just installed my 3.73s and recalibrated my speedo with my SCT X3, its very easy

not all cai's require a tuner

I wanted to get a tuner but I don't know how to use it. I heard you have to drive the car as you tune it. Might try it... need to read up on it. What does the SCT X3 tuner cost? Is it really that easy to tune yourself?
I heard not all parts require a tune, but my question is if they are to improve performance and hp, why wouldn't they need a tune? Isn't that the purpose of the tune? If a paticular mod is designed to give you more airflow your computer needs to be adjusted to it, correct?
get a tune right away you are wasting money and no you dont do tune it going down the road.you plug it in to the computer in your car right by your left leg on the drivers side.and if you got a custume tune push a couple buttons waite about ten mins unplug and haul ass.my car is completly stock besides C@L cai and my 93 tunes.and i have almost already in one week ruined my factory almost new tires.only problem i have is i cant keep my car from wanting to go over 120-140 mph.
