Default 2005 Mustang V6 TCS button?

How does the TCS button work? I know it's a traction control system, but in general terms what does it do? Does the TCS make use of a limited slip?

Thanks

Thanks that helps.

I thought it felt like the RPMs were dropping, for a second, when I caught rubber in second gear, but I didn't think the TCS was as advanced as it is.

Just to note, your car does not have limited slip aka tlok, only gts come stock with that option. You can add it along with gears as a common mod.

Tlock is a must, love it.

One thing I've found with the TPS in slippery driving conditions- if you're on snow it does a great job keeping the car going straight. However, if you're on ice or going up a slippery hill, it will actually prevent you from moving because it senses the "power wheel" is slipping and knocks the power way down to compensate. I find that temporarily switching the TCS off in these conditions helps, because then the power goes to the wheel no matter what.

Sorry, that should say TCS, not TPS.

I call my TCS the "Fun" button. You push it when you want to impress your friends with a gnarly one-wheel-peel.
