I Am Not Worried At All, For Years camaro Guys have Talked Crap About being faster And Only For A Few Years They Actually Were.... Its Seems GM Takes Forever To Put Together A Great Product....And The Camaro Has Potential But It Will Take Them Years To Dial It In Just Right That It Can Compete With The Mustang In Every way. And Even Then It Will Prob Be More Expensive.....as For Racing One......Lets be Honest...How Many Chevy Guys You Know Actually Race..? Or Do They Just Talk Like They Do? 05Horse...From what I was told by Mr. Bob Lutz himself is that there isn't going to be a new Firebird. The camaro is it. And due to Chevy's finacial troubles, the Z28 may never see the light of day, either. If anything it will be an aftermarket company that makes a Z28-style appearance package or something.

Right now the Camaro is leaving everything in the dust starting at the dealer level. Its a no brainer that a skilled driver in the seat is an advantage no matter what they drive.

What's unfortunte is Ford didnt take performance in the V6 Mustang seriously until the other automakers started spitting out the Challenger and Camaro. Its about time they yank the Ranger engine out.

So, lets see what develops in 2011 when Ford stuffs the 3.7 liter in the Mustang.

Youre right about performance ONEZ, the Camaro always outpowered the mustang, but that's about it. Because the new mustang is handling better, has better interior and is lighter. I also don't get how Ford continue to produce the sixxers with such a pretty much lame engine for its size, but 2011 should make a good change .

And besides, our v6 sounds better than all of these new DOHC direct injection high ass revving v6's

From 93-2002 & 2010 for the V8s and 93-98 & 2010 (with the 99-02 Stangs being about even with the 3800 GM V6) the Camaros were faster. But you are right the GM guys do not race as much as us Ford guys do, at least not when I goto the track at Atco. I have seen 1 new Camaro there an SS. And I agree it seems like the Mustang guys are the more serious racer and better driver but the latter is my opinion.
