I have a 2006 Mustang with 2.5" Magnaflow mufflers, will it give the car a deeper sound (or change it at all) if I get 3" exhaust tips put on it?

I had this debate with another member of the site awhile back. He claimed the tips create a different tone, so I tried it out when I did my most recent exhaust upgrade. I could tell no difference on our cars. I run the 3 in because it looks nice, but thats about all your gonna get from a tip.

tips can change tone. but it takes alot

example a 24 inch long chrome tip ( as on older mustangs and trucks with straight pipes, will have a slightly different tone than if the pipes came back to a 3 inch wide by 5 inch long tip.


but i wouldent waste the money on new tips.
