Hi Everyone - I just had a magnaflow 15889 put on for me (and i know the installer -he does good work - so thing is in the right position). To me, it looks like the tip doesn't extend past the bumper very far, so i am wondering if i am gonna cook my paint or plastic. I guess time will tell, but would rather avoid going there...

BTW its on a 09 V6.

I saw that exhaust for the v6 on the american muscle site and the some people siad the same in there review of it. Go check it out on there site and you can look a there pics of it and compare. The magnaflow stuff looks top quality How is the sound of it in person? (from outsid and in the car)

Thanks for the info - I'll see if i can find that review. Its till early, but i like the sound quite a bit. I wanted nice tone, but not stupid loud, espec as the convertible is intended asour weekend out of town vacation car, not a muscle show. So the Magnaflow is certainly louder than stock but in a good way. I still have to get out and play to see what performance gains are happening. I haven't heard a drive by, but stnding behind the tone is nice, kinda contemporary (whatever that means ha ha)

So as long as the paint don't burn off the bumper - so far i am liking it!

yes, exhaust can melt your bumoer like it did mine, but mine was touching, and its not bad, and it doesnt get any worse after the initial melt

i would keep a close eye on it i like my tips to stick out 2 inches from the bumper
