GT takeoff kit @ v6mustangstuff.com or newtakeoff.com

Those are the best bang for your buck kits that you can put on yourself at home and they come with everything and they are around 300.00. Next best bang for buck would be the Pypes kit. It also can be done at home and it comes in at around 400.00 for the whole kit.

OR

You can piece together your own like I did and get something you want for a low cost if you have the patience to shop around and look for deals on the forums and such. I have a breakdown in the thread I started "The Stang Has Begun Its Transformation" my total for getting the parts was only around 280.00. Here is a pic of the finished product installed.

Sorry I posted the breakdown on another site.

Here it is:

Here is the cost breakdown of the exhaust. I got it under 300.00 for all parts needed. It is possible to get exactly what you want for a decent price you just have to be patient when looking for the parts you want. I could of even gotten the whole package under 250.00 if I had opted to buy a set of GT mufflers from a takeoff site, but I found the ones I have with the tips welded on already and those tips alone were 100.00 so I got them instead. Plus, you could find a used set of GT exhaust hangers from someone and possible get those free (I bought mine) and lower the cost even more. Just remember installation cost is the key, because if you cant get a good deal on install you might as well have just gotten a complete kit and installed it yourself since install costs and the money you spend on individual parts will end more than a complete kit itself that can be put on yourself at home. I am lucky cause a friend of the family has a shop and he did it for me for VERY cheap. Some local muffler shops around home though quoted me at 110.00 for install so long as brought all the needed parts so it is possible to save some money you just have to look around and be a smart shopper!

Dynomax X-pipe 72.00 @ rockautoparts.com
Dynomax Mid-pipes 30.00 a piece @ rockautoparts.com
GT Mufflers w/custom 3.5 inch chrome tips welded on from a forum member 110.00
Pypes stainless steel exhaust hangers 30.00 from a forum member on another site
Flat Black High Temp Paint 10.00 @ Autozone
FRPP bumper inserts FREE from a fellow forum member

Total = 284.00

Ok man i going to help you out i bought a fancy exhaust from bassani, it cost my around 700 bucks, and my brother took his new challenger to Mitus. (i think i spelled it wrong)My bro's challenger was so loud and it sounded good, plus it wass cheaper. I was like what the Crap my exhaust should be better but i was proved wrong. So if you want a really good american muscle sound thats cheap you cant fail with Flowmaster Super 40's. EVERYTHING sounds good with super 40's!

both the delta 40 and slp loudmouths sound awesome at idle and slow acceleration but in my opinion sound like complete crap when getting on it and in the higher rpm bands. those mufflers are meant for a v8 for sure, but just my opinion.
