Default S197 v6 throttle body

Does anyone know if the 70mm throttle body will give me any more power in my v6. I have already done CAI and dual exhaust so the potential is there for higher flowing air. Would the tb be worth the money here?

Nope. Better to get an MSD ignition.

Throttlebodies will allow slightly better air flow resulting in a little better performance. These gains will be more noticable on F/I vehicles. It probably isn't worth the money. I would check into gears and tlok or an aluminum driveshaft for more power. The screamin demon coil is also becoming popular.

You could still use gears and tlok, other then that, you could be like me and try to rebuild the engine

, i know, my summer list is the driveshaft, the lsd, and shorty headers. if i can swing it, i want some 17" chrome rims and wider tires. i`m sure when thats all done i`ll have a new list

iv heard of a few guys gettin error codes thrown at em for adding it. other than that iv never really heard anyone raving about its performance boost. hmm...dremmel to polish..i might try it. oh and also, if you get a chance...get some TB cleaner and clean your stock TB...theyre filthy after about 25000mi.

I am actually considering gears but want some that will be good with forced induction later on down the road. (like this summer)
Would the 3.55 be a noticeable difference?

i dont know, but that whats i been kickin around in my head. i dont think i want any more than that, cause if i want or need to do some cross country driving, i`d rather keep some milage. the 3.31 is actually not that bad and best for top speeds and milage. if your gonna go 20 in wheels, you might want more gear. the 3.73 is very popular around here.

heres one thing to consider though, ford does not make a oem 3.55 gear for a 7.5 rear end. you would have to go aftermarket like motive, which have had mixed reveiws

Shorty's are useless go long tubes...if you want real power gains.
