Default Need Help with Wheel Decision

Ok I am in a delema! I really like the DD Bullitts American Muscle offers I would get 18x9 in the front and 18x10 in the back. The setup with tires is ~$1500. My question is should i drop that much on wheels or go with some takeoffs (i have the horrible standard v6 wheel). If I get takeoffs i have 700 extra for other mods. Im not looking for an answer just some advice from fellow mustang owners!

I would personally get the tires from american muscle but I would first look around if you want to do other thing as well, I'm personally in the same position with doing things to my car and I decided to do one thing at a time and to do all the little things first and all the bigger things last such as new paint....but let me know what you decide..

Cruizin Concept has amazing deals on wheel packages. They'll save you around $500 from the AM price.

Check em out! They are a site sponsor.

I know it would be nice to save the money and use it on other things but i say go with the wheels from american muscle if they are what you want. I have been working on my car for 3 years fixing and adding stuff as i get money and i have decided on some items on cost rather than my first choice and regret it. I like everything i have but there are a few things i wish i had spent the extra money on and got what i really wanted. My advise would be to find what you really want as far as wheels and get them and then go from there. You will eventually get all the other mods as well it just takes longer but in the end you will be happier with what you have.

I agree with you, I would get them if I really like them because you may find something cheaper but you will always think in the back of your head you should have got those tires....Like, I'm getting ready to get a new alarm, which I could go with the cheap one but I want the one with the picture so I will be more aware if someone is messing with my car because a lot of cars are getting stolen and broken into lately since the economy is so bad....So go get your tires you will be happy with them...

Couldn't agree more!!! It's not like you buy those every month or so, spend on something that's worth the money, but do not hesitate on buying something you really want, unless you have other things that are more important.

I went through the same delema a month ago with my tax return. I went with some new take offs (18in fan blades with bfg,s) for $650. I have no regrets because I think there perfect for my car. I would go with what you like the best though because a year from now you wont remember the extra cash but you will have to look at your car every day and wounder how it would look with the ones you really wanted.

Look around in the mustang forums for sale. people are always changing their minds about their wheels and selling them at good prices but get what you want you will see them everytime you look at the car and wheels do make or break the look of any car.

I bought 17" GT Takeoffs (new) on EBay for $550, sold my stock 16" to a tire store a tire store for $150. So, look on EBay for a deal.
