Default Spark Plug Gapping and ignition system

Hey guys, I drive a 2007 Auto Mustang V6 with approximately 32,000 miles on it. After I have my 4.10's and t-lok installed i am going to upgrade my ignition system. I am going to buy a set of screamin demons and live wires.

Should i buy a new set of plugs? if so, which ones?

Should i gap the plugs to .06 or .065?

Is this the correct tool to gap the plugs....?

Thanks alot everyone for the help!

first good call on the gears and coil

second take out your plugs and run a gapping tool in them

you can get a gapping tool at any part store for about a dollar 50, that tool is more or less used to measure shims for your gears and what not

.6 or .65 is good, i took mine to .65 ( reccomended for the SDC )

performance distributers has teh SDC kit w/ wires for $168..

a gapping tool is usually silver and round has 1 or 2 inclined plane sides

you just slide the plug on where it fits easy ( should be around .42) then slide the plug around till it reaches the desired gap.

a parts sotre guy can show you as well.

there is only one coil on the v6. those are good feeler guages, but i would buy the american vs the metric. some plugs, like the bosch i`m running dont require any gap. but most conventional plugs do. you should use feeler guages for everything you have that has a spark plug, lawnmower, weedeater, chainsaw, ect. good for gapping rocker arms if you ever get into some solid lifters. that is a must have tool for your box for sure.
