Default v6 upgrade choice and opinions needed

i'm posting on behalf of a friend, he just got a 05 vista red v6 and i'm ready to start modding it for him.. he has had it for 2 days and we put a jba dual axle back on it and i made a custom H pipe for it so far.. it really woke up the sound, but heres what i'm thinking

well i just ordered a jlt/tuner combo from american muscle.. but aside that
i'm going to do a hid kit too, he wants that. i was going to order from vvme because their the best deal i'll ever find.. anyways

i've been lookin at that screaming demon coil and wire set. now i understand the factory wires are platinum already so i wasn't bothered with changing them.

i also want to delete the cats, either or add high flow cats.. he wants it to remain emmissions friendly still for the time being i guess..

i want to do headers of some sort, either shorties or long tubes.. i would perfer long tubes, but i've only found sets for like 500$ thats a rip in my opinion so i'll keep looking.

since its auto 4.10s are a obvious choice with some sort of better differential, i don't like one wheel peals..

other then that were going to do cosmetics

but if anyone has anything else please chime in.

by the way my name is will and i drive a 98 BAB gt, 2006 premium GT and have a restored 67 coupe

The 2005+ v6's don't benefit from aftermarket headers like the GT's do. You're likely to see less than 5rwhp if any at all with a set of aftermarket ones over the stock ones, unless you're supercharged or turbocharged.

As far as the screamin demon goes, i've been hearing really good things about it. I also understand that its best to install a set of Livewires with it, for maximum performance gain. Plus they're only like 80 bucks.

Gear and diff. wise, I have FRPP traction lock and its great. Far superior to the stock open differential. I recommend 3.73 gears, even for an automatic because it'll give the car more punch from a stop but will keep it pretty highway friendly.

I don't think getting rid of the cats is a good idea. With the new President so concerned with being "Green" i'm sure that he'll have the whole U.S. under the same emissions standards as we have in CA before you know it. You won't pass smog without cats. High-performance or high-flow cats are definitely an option, although i'm not sure what you'd see, performance-wise.

Also check out 4" aluminum drive shafts, they lighten the load and strengthen your drive train a lot.

Thank you, i think the next set of mods will be the screamin/demon and wire combo, and gears and track lock.

i wasn't going to do headers unless its long tubes, they appear to pratically have shorties on them now.. i think i'm going to do some port work on this car too
