I have heard that certain engines don't respond as well as others to turbos, and this makes sense to me.(I don't have much experience with major engine work). I have also heard that if your running a high compression ratio a turbo won't be as beneficial.
If you put on better heads and cams would this do anything to your car that would make it not as responsive with a turbo, or will they just compliment each other nicely?

Yeah it does depend on the quality of the heads and the quality of the build. If it's put together crappy say bye-bye to your engine. Supersixmotorsports.com is a great place to get heads and cams for the 3.8 and 4.0 V6. They even have a kit that will lower the compression if you plan on going forced induction. I would much rather see how much power I could get naturally aspirated before I go f/i.

I am planning on getting the heads from SSM this summer, they are some of the best out there. Our cars do fine with a turbo however; you would have no problems if you get a good tune, and turbos produce insane amounts of power.
