I have a 05 V6 that we are installing a lowering kit made by AG , Got them off Ebait ,, all is going well even if the extra brace had to be removed to get the rear end low enough to get the rear springs out , My question is that the lowering springs are aabout a coil shorter with a progressive style spring ,, ( More coils to the bottom ) anyway , They slipped right back in with ease ,, My question is they seem to compress a lot when picking the rear up to get it off the stand jacks ,, any experiance with this , WE have not done the front yet so the car is still on the stands ,, will this set ok when all four are back on the ground or should I investigate this further as to having the wrong springs , The kit was for a V6 car ,, Am I worrying over nothing ?? Thanks the Over worried
Mind had no instructions but the FRPP writing and part # was reading correct way not upside down the way I installed with more coils at the top.
Sits exactly as promised 1.5 inches lower.
Someone correct me if I am wrong because if so I did them wrong.
I just put the Ford Racing Performance Parts 1.5inch drops rear only on and had to remove that extra brace too since I did not have a spring compressor.
Sits exactly as promised 1.5 inches lower.
I undertorque while on jack stands then torqued correctly under load.

I am going to go ahead and get the rest on it done , I am also installing new shocks and struts ,, When picking the car up by the rear axle I am picking up the whole car so this might be what I am worried over ,, Most progressive springs are more coils to the Bottom ,, Think about it ? the car rides on the easy part of the springs untill it is loaded and then compressed into the more coil section of the springs ,, BUT it might not make any differance which ever way , Mine would not fit the spring perches the otherway also .. Thanks
Let me know hows the ride quality and some pics after the install because i was looking at the AG springs too but no one had them since its a south american company and not famous like Eibach.

Looks like a lot of people have this question-but according to Steeda rep the tighter coils go to the top.
Think of it this way, the bottom of the spring has more travel since the wheel is moving up and down while the top is pressing against a fixed area of the chassis. You want the initial movement to be againest the larger softer coils. I would think the logo and writing on any spring would also be a tip to the orientation.
