I installed my new Hurst shifter a few days ago, but I hadn't had a chance to drive my car yet to try it until yesterday. I had hoped that by this time whatever problems Hurst might have had with these would have been corrected, but I guess not. Mine rattles at 3000 RPM. Actually, it is more as if the shifter is just amplifying the vibration from the transmission. If I keep my hand on the shifter it does not rattle. There is no play whatsoever in any part of the shifter and/or the linkage. I wonder if the massive lower portion of the stock shifter lever right below the knob was intended to counteract this vibration.

Any thoughts on this?
Aside from the rattle, it is great. I love the ways it works and feels when shifting.
