Default question about new clutch

i have the choice between spec stge 1 from AM with kit

or centerforce DF from summit with out kit

those of u running these what do you think would be best for me?

im not a drag strip, jsuit a daily driver who loves to get on it some times.

if i was to get the CF DF

( comes with clutch and plate )

what else would i need to buy?

ive herd both can use stock flywheel, but i plan on getting the aluminum one from AM, you know...while im in there

Let me know how it goes. I'm looking at the one from AM because my clutch is going out. I've been riding my bike everyday so I can put it off a little longer. But sooner or later it's gonna have to get replaced.
I also agree with your philosophy on the flywheel. If you're in there, why not right?

You guys are already needing new clutches?

Mines a February 2005 baby with 72K on her and I haven't had any problems yet. And I definitely like to have fun with her.

doing research

it turns out the 05 V6 does not need a throw out bearing correct?

thats what articles tell me

but its a good idea to replace piolet bearing right?

I'm on my third set of rears because the first two went bald.

I've had pretty good luck so far though, my brakes and alternator haven't gone out just yet either.

If I were closer I would do that for you. It's not a money issue for me, its a time issue.

My wife is taking a trip back home in the beginning of May so i'll have an extra car. Looks like it might be may for me too. Can somebody say group buy? Who else is in for a clutch besides me and 05Horse?

I have the spec stage 1 and aluminum flywheel in my 3.8L, they work fine and the al. f/w definitely helped things out. The stage 1 is actually easier to press than the stock unit is so that is nice.

Make sure you have aprox the same tq specs of the clutch cuz it will feel worst, based on your mods I think you will be fine with the spec stage 1 but I don't know what you plan to add later so is up to you...
