Getting new mufflers installed i need some pointers on which of the following to get. Magnaflow borla or flowmaster? All just single catback or axelback don't matter.

Borla is the best? I think that is purely a personal opinion. I like the sound of a flomaster hands down better then any of the three but BETTER?? Do you mean better sound, flo or quality? Quality id say any of the three since it is only a muffler but the quality to me in the magnaflo LOOKS better than any of the three TO ME but sound the flomaster hands down and if you are talking about flo it would be the magnaflo since it is straight through muffler unlike the flomaster and borla. Get what suits you I have magnaflo because it best fit my needs.
Yeah see i want the best flow sound and quality. So if Magnaflo has 2 out of 3 i'll go with that; it was actually my first choice but looking around got me doubting.

In my opinion Bolra makes the best exhaust. Bolra's products are very well made and have the best fit out of aftermarket exhaust. I also like the sound they produce, but they are expensive. I have flowmasters on mine, and they are both top quality and have a nice throtty sound. Magnaflows are not as loud, and I feel have a more European sound. Do some youtube searches. It all comes down to personal preference.

I just wanted to chime in on this for a minute of you don't mind.
First I wanted to clarify that all Borla mufflers incorporate straight through technology and we have proven consistently over the past 30 years that there are no mufflers in existence that outflow Borla mufflers.
Next I wanted to point out that Borla uses T-304, Austenitic stainless steel which is a far superior material to the material used by the other manufacturers you have mentioned in this thread. 400 series stainless is the absolute lowest grade available and has lots of Iron in it which means it rusts. Obviously mild steel is as cheap as it gets.
These elements are a big reason why Ford Racing, Carol Shelby and Jack Rousch have chosen Borla as their exhaust supplier.
If you have any questions feel free to email me at davidb at borla dot com.
Me and all of my friends have borla because of the name, the sounds, and the look. In my opinion borla is the highest quality all around, worth the high price tag. Sound is an important thing on any mustang.

I've listened to the Youtube videos for each of these and personally I think the Borla's have the deepest sound the other two just seem too high pitched. Plus as a third party I will back up what david borla said that Austenitic SS is more corrosion resistant that most steels out there. The Navy uses it when they need a highly corrosive resistant metal. All that aside though Borla is much more expensive and as such I looked around at others and found that Ford Racing Performance Parts has a true dual upgrade kit w/ X-pipe that has a very deep sound as well for about $400 less than the comparable Borla System.
ive had both Flowmaster and Borla, currently Borla Turbo mufflers on the car. Flowmaster is loud and gets pretty annoying in the cabin. Borla is a little quieter and the inside drone is good. Also when we replaced the Flowmaster the muffler looked really dirty and kinda rusty looking where as the Borla on my car right now still looks dang good. Overall they are both good but i prefer my Borlas for the sound and quality. The dual straight exhaust with Borlas only cost me 400 dollars all together for install and all from a shop in San Antonio lol
So it seems to me that borla wins, but not with my price range. Besides guy at the muffler shop told me that he refuses to put only single borla's on so i'd have to get duels which are good but also expesive around $500 plus he'd have to cut the bumper or put a gt bumper on. neither of which i want so for me it will be the flowmasters 40 series and a great looking tip all round $250 affordable for me on a student budget.

dude, dont be afraid of cutting your bumper, if you take your time and do it right, it can really look great. go for the duals, i urge you, you WILL regret it if you do not.
