Hello,
I purchased a 2006 manual mustang and the dimmer switch doesn't work. At night when i turn the lights on the dash lights come on but are very dim. When I go to turn them up with the dimmer they don't do anything. Also if I turn the dimmer all the way up the lights should come on but they don't either. I looked in the manual to see if it was a switch but couldn't find anything. Just wondering if anyone else had this problem and how they corrected it? Maybe I need a new dimmer switch? Any info would be great! Thanks

you could pull the switch out and see if somebody monkeyed with the wiring. do a visual inspection, look for loose or bad connections. allthough possible, i cant see the switch being bad. my first guess would be that somebody wired something into it at some point. the dome lights are mainly controlled by the smart junction box under the passenger side kick panel. if your dome lights work fine when the doors are open or manually turned on with the buttons, its probably the dimmer switch.( just throwing some ideas at you)

Hey thanks for the info! The dome lights do work fine with the doors open and manually so I will have to check it out.

In my first post I meant to say I looked in the manual to see if it was a fuse but couldn't find anything..
