Hey all,

I was two seconds away from purchasing a set of 4.10 (4.11) Yukon gears from v6mustang when i realized if i bought Motive 4.10s from AM that with everything included (installation kit, t-lock) it would save me like 100-150 bucks or so. this is also due to AM free shipping where i have to pay like 50 from v6mustang..

I was just wondering if the Yukon or Richmond gears are really worth spending an extra 100 dollars on as opposed to the motives. I've heard horror stories from motive, and also some success stories, but if they are so horrible why are they so popular among v6 owners?

I've read every thread from AFM and stangnet about motive gears, but i guess im still not convinced. Mike Dez at Dez Racing in Seekonk MA is installing them and he is very well known around southeastern new england, so that isn't an issue.

So are Yukon and/or Richmond gears that much better than Motives? or is it all in the install? any feedback would be great!

Any gear will whine or make excessive noise if not installed properly period. IMO motive go a bad rep on here from a few bad install more often than a bad gear set. Granted sometimes there is factory flukes but this had also been true with Ford Racing. I mean think about would AmericanMuscle.com sell POS gears to us? You will be just fine

My Motive 4.10's are going in Tue.
