Default 2007 V6 Mustang Exhaust or Tuner

I need to know weither to get an exhaust or a tuner. Ive been looking at a Borla or Gibson Exhaust but most of its for the sound. I have a friend that is telling me that his tuner really made his car feel like a different car but i dont have a massive amount of money so i was wondering what everyone thought about exhaust or tuner and does anyone have any suggestions? Need help!

Your friend was right. Put the exhaust on to make it sound faster. Use the tuner to actually make it faster.

My advice would be to save your money until you can get a tuner and custom tunes. It's the single biggest bang for your buck you can put on a stock vehicle for hp and tq gains.

If you are looking for more power than a tune. For sound than a exhaust.

a custom tune will do the most for your car. a exhaust will make it sound like a bad ass but a tuner and tune will make it run like a bad ass.

i`d throw a gt takeoff muffler on there for better performance, and get the tuner/cai combo.

Would a GT take-off exhaust work on my V6?

Yes...it will bolt right on in about 10 minutes without even jacking up the car.

I would go with a tune. It actually gives you more power.

Here's my exhaust. It's borla stingers with an h-pipe.

I would go get a gt take off exhaust for less than $50 and save for a cai/tune combo. Its nice to have a big name exhaust (flowmaster, bolra, ect) but a gt take off will give you the same performance gains and will still sound a lot better then stock. Then when you add the cai/tune you will really feel like you are the fastest mustang on the road, until a cobra smokes you

And Saleen, it appeared like alot of black smoke was coming out from your exhaust, you might be running a bit rich, are you running any other mods?

Try Bamachips, Tillman, or Brenspeed. They offer custom tunes with their tuners. The custom tune is what really gives you the most power, more power then the canned tunes.
