Default Great Freeway mpg for V6?

Went on a 122.6 mile freeway trip yesterday in our '06 V6 convert. Speed was held steady at 60 mph on cruise control. Used 4.027 gals. Filled up at the same station and same pump on return as when we went down. Cut return trip fill-up off at first click just as on initial fill-up. Made sure tire pressure was up to recommended specs. all the way around. Only mods I have is a K&N drop in air filter and the Flowmaster Am. Thunder single exhaust made espec. for this V6. Mileage came out to 30.44 mpg. Was I ever pleasantly surprised. I had heard that you can get 29 mpg highway with this car and this engine if you kept the speed reasonable, but the 30.4 was beyond my expectations. Could it be the freer flowing intake and exhaust with those two mods?

I just bought an 2008 V6, and with the stock I'm getting ~25 mpg. I drive 70 miles to work, and have been watching it fairly closely. I'll have to look into boosting the mileage with the intake and exhaust upgrades.

The best I've ever done is 29, but then much of that was at 75.

assuming its the read from the onboard computer, try pressing "reset" on the Average MPG screen. On my old GT i did the same thing for about 1000 miles until i figured it out.

Now I like to reset all the readouts every time i fill a new tank.

I have an 08 coupe with a manual, single GT muffler, K&N drop in, aluminium drive shaft and and Diablo tuner. I run the 87 canned tune when I take road trips. 485 miles on 15.5 gallons is the best I have done. It is always very close to this. I drive at 70 mph and I use the cruise control as much as possible. I believe that. 31.9 is very good for these cars. I have never gone below 30 mpg on road trips and average 25 mpg during my work week. I have been curious to know if automatics get the same mileage and would like to hear from more about this. I use the 91 canned tune most of the time so I am not sure what the work week mileage would bee with the 87 tune. If anyone has 3.73 gears and has done an accurate mileage check, please let me know what you got before and after the gear change.

I've done 31 on the highway at 65 several times. Of course, that was with my old 3.31's Now the best I do is about 28 at 65.

My 2007 V6 manual Coupe w/ GT take off muffler averages 28 in the summer and 26.5 in the winter. This is driving in the New Hampshire hill country. Never been on a long trip in her, but might be driving down to Atlanta this summer. I hope she'll do better on the highway. Would like to see 30mpg.

I have an 06 5spd all stock except a single gt takeoff exhaust and drive 240 miles every weekend and the best I have gotten was 32.4. I was extremely happy!! That will prolly drop a little when i drop the supercharger in.

I got 24mpg on a 200 mile round trip in my Cobra and that was going around 70 most of the time. I was happy with that. A 98 V8 car with 84,000 on it Can't ask for much more. But getting over 30mpg thats awesome

I can get about 30mpg doing 65mph on a road trip. I think I've gotten close to 32mpg if I go 60mph. Most of my road trips are alot of uphill though. Maybe this summer when I go to Arizona I'll see what my car gets doing 60. Or I'll see how it does on my way to Colorado, if we even go.

My wife's five hundred sedan got 28mpg with four full grown adults in the car and a trunk packed full of luggage and driving at 70mph going from SoCal to Denver Colorado.
