Default SCT X3 Tunner, don't want to mess anything up

I received my SCT X3 tunner for my 05 V6 Mustang. I bought it from Evolution performance. I have a few questions before I try loading the tunes.

1:How do I find the calibration code of the computer module on the X3 tunner. The reason I'm asking this is because the dealer may have reflashed my computer.

2:when I plug the tunner into the OBD port will it automaticaly save the factory program on the tunner? and if not how do I go about saving it?

Thanks in advance.

Plug the tuner into the OBDII port and scroll down and you'll find the calibration id. The OEM calibration will automatically get pulled into the tuner when you flash it for the first time..

That's really of no value if Ford has flashed the car since it was manufactured..

Okay. I hooked up my tuner and it gives me the vin number and strategy code. Not the calibration code. This does not tell me if the calibration has been changed. Did I do something wrong?

Sorry, it's the strategy code you need to provide your tuner.

Evolution performance doesn't ask for strategy code. They ask for calibration code.

I tried loading my 87 octane tune and the car ran rough and the little wrench apeared on my dash. I tried to retreive error codes with the tuner and there wasn't any showing.
I didn't install the cold air intake that came with it yet. Could that have anything to do with it running rough?

Mine did the same thing---I just reloaded the tune and everything runs great---I think I missed the part of turning off the key and turning it back on.
