I know it is designed to spin the air as it enters the engine to help it mix better with the fuel, but is it worth 75$ when im just starting on my performance mods?

if you want a good paper weight then yes its worth 75 bucks. but if not then no. if your looking at throttle bodies then look at the zabteck throttle body. they are the only ones that actually improve anything. a bbk is crap and is actually the exact same size as the oem one. i used to have a bbk and it gave me nothing but codes, and problems. but throttle body spacers are a complete waste of money.

You will be wasting your money. The air does not mix with the fuel until it is inside the combustion chamber. Spacers used to make sense when we had carbs as they insulated them from the intake manifold heat. The way to increase HP on a S197 chassis is with free flowing exhaust. and forced induction. Short of that, a tune is the least expensive option.

hey they make a cool whistleing sound...that is about it...

but if you must have one to show your buddies..get it on ebay for about $20.dont spend more than that...

and here i am with my lonely little TB spacer that nobody likes....but me! i like the think, i payed 25 bucks for it. whistles/scream under heavy acceleration, maybe a TEEEEENY TINEY boost in performance, but then again, maybe thats just my brain tricking myself into beleiving that its beneficial because i did spend 25 bucks on it!! i just think it looks cool under the hood too!
