So I am leaning towards getting a new bumper so I don't need to cut. No one around me is willing to cut it for me anyway and I do not feel like messing with my car myself (can't afford it financially). Should I do a GT takeoff, or does anyone have suggestions? I am also looking at replacing my grill. Would center fog lights look too much "wanna be GT"?
I wanna get this magnaflow on my car!

If you want fog lights -- for the V6 i would recommend getting the Pony Package grille -- I've got it on my car from the factory and it looks great. Though i'm replacing it with a GT500 front end but much better then GT fog lights -- i'm not a fan of how freaking huge those things are
I was looking at the Street Scene V6 Conversion Grill
you think this looks good in person? Looks cool in the pic but would hate for it to look ricey when i put it on.

i dont like the look of the v6 imitation gt fog lights, they are too close to the middle, they dont look right. and i cut, well, 05horse cut my bumper for dual exhaust, and it looks GREAT well worth saving a couple hundred bucks for a gt rear valence.

I totally agree, that grille looks kind of retarded. Those lights are Way too close together. IF you want the GT look, get someone's old bumper and grille, I know they're out there because too many people are updating to better front ends. But as far as cutting goes -- if you want to save money, definitely just cut out for the exhaust -- dont do what i've seen idiots do around here and dont cut and leave the tip hanging lower then the other lol. If you're planning on getting a different look eventually, go that route. Cutting wont take long so even if you're getting a new look later, cut now.

Andrew..... READ what you wrote. If you can't afford it financually, then your very first choice should be to cut the bumper and see how it turns out. The worst thing that will happen is that you will not like it, and need to buy a GT takeoff. If you don't try, then you haven't even given it a chance. Hundreds of people with NO car experience have done this mod succesfully. Pypes has an online template you can print, and the plastic cuts very easy. I did it on my 05 and it worked out great. I came across a GT500 bumper in my color, that was super cheap, so I bought that later, but if I hadn't, I would still be running with my cut out bumper today. It looked good, and was a cinch to do. Seriously bud, give it a try. I used a rotary cutting device on a dremel, and finished it with a sanding drum on the same dremel. I traced the inside of the template line with a sharpie, and sanded until I had sanded all of the sharpie line away, and then I painted the inside edge with touchup paint. If your plan it to get a gt bumper anyway, then do the cutout first, install the exhaust, and then when you can afford the bumper, buy it and install it. (another suuuuuper easy swap by the way) The GT bumper literaly snaps into place and there are like 4 bolts on the inside of the trunk to do. Took me 15 minutes to do mine.
Like Bill said, just go ahead and cut it and if you don't like it, just get the gt bumper when you can afford it. Thats what I did, I cut the bumper, and I actually liked it. When I did the gt body swap later, I already had the exhaust in, and I was able to compare the two. The gt rear bumper does look better, but we don't always have extra money to throw around. There is also nothing wrong with gt fogs on a sixer, I have them. If you do go that route, go ahead and do the full bumper/grill swap. I was amazed at the difference the bumper makes. And take a look at this setup on ebay, it about to end, but thats a real good deal for the full gt body. eBay Motors: 2007 05 06 07 Mustang GT Front Rear Bumper Fog Kit (item 380115706582 end time Apr-12-09 21:19:19 PDT)

I think I am going to take that advice. I just want to have some extra money saved up so if I don't like it, I can buy a take off or something and not be driving with a space for a muffler thats not there

That auction is really tempting. How easy is it to put all that stuff on? Something me and a friend could do in a couple hours?

Reason: left a simple word out
Make a few more calls around. I found about every exhaust shop near me does it cheap regularly. If not try a body shop. Also will one of the part and accessories suppliers please just make a version of the ffrp pumper cut out trim already. Im sure they would sell a pair with every dual exhaust.

I keep calling all these places in Columbus and cannot find a decent place. The guys are jerks at the place I go to now. I only go to them because they do more than most places here.

I cut the hole out for my dual exhaust. and it looked fine. Then i saw the street scene rear valance and put it on and it made the rear bumper cut outs look more finished and factory like.
