My 2006 Mustang is a stock V6, Automatic, nothing special about it other than the GT suspension - it has the Pony Package. I'm looking for the best way to increase horsepower without having to go the route of a supercharger. I know you can add dual exhaust which I plan to and do a cold air intake and tuner, but is there anything else? Or are these v6's pretty much gutless in terms of horsepower? Im not looking to get 400+ but 200 is tame and would like something more

Any suggestions?

tuner and cai will do some good but there are alot of bolt on parts you can get for the v6 you have alot of options

dual exhaust
cai
tuner
gears w/t loc
one piece drive shift
ignition coils
udps
the list goes on

All of those listed are out there to increase hp, some however have bad results. I have heard that the Underdrive pulley and the throttle body on the v6 are both almost worthless. Just do your research before you buy.

A turbo or supercharger... that will add power. Or a stroker and heads and cams... or an endless list of bolt ons. Use the search feature, I guarentee thousands of other members have asked and answered the same exact question.

Gears are definitely the best upgrade after cai/tune.

if you can get your car to 250 hp then the car will feel like a brand new car! a tuner and CAI will be your best bet when it comes to instant HP and TQ plus a tuner is the base mod you need for future mods.

+1 youll need that tuner for about any other mod you throw on there later. its basically a new brain for your car, its completely different when u load that tune. the diff in performance is night and day
