well actually, i found this awesome little gizmo at murrays, it was basically a big a$$ socket wrench (93 mm???) that attached to an extension on my ratchet, the filter popped right off!

I had found that on the wife's Mustang 4.0L it was so low I could not use my ramps.. Going to have to make some that work.. But this is what I found to save a ton of time in changing the oil in that motor.. it's also much cleaner... Jack up and remove the passenger side front tire.. Do slip a jack stand under it just in case.. You can reach the filer with ease and makes for easy cleanup... I found I had enough room to drain the oil from the same side... Works great for me.. Tight quarters under there for sure.. ! George

tight quarters means alot of power in a little space lol....
i know a GT person who was quite jelous of our small engines, and tons of room, with almost as much power as her engine, and no room

The only thing I'd add is that having some cardboard under the oil catch pan is handy for catching any spills or drips.

Not sure if it would work for your ramps, but mine is lowered just enough that I can't get a floor jack underneath it. My solution was to put a 3/4" piece of plywood in front of the tire, and drive onto it. That raised the car just enough that I could get a jack underneath.
