Default T-Lok and Gears

i was looking into T-Lok and gears but idk which to get because partially i dont understand the difference. for the T-Lok there is a ford 8.8 31 spline or a 7.5 with a 28 spline the only difference is about $70. and with the gears there is a 4.1 and a 3.73 they are the exact same price i just dont understand what the (pardon the ignorance) numbers mean..and also i am assuming i have a 7.5in rear

you need the 7.5 inch 28 spline its for the V6

3.73 and 4.10 are diff ratios

the higher the number the faster you get off the line and in to the powerband..

for a daily driver i reccomend 373's

for a weekend warrior 4.10

a t lock makes both wheels spin instead of one

if your stock gear is 3.31 id say 373.

i got 3.73's and im glad i dident buy them
then again i do a ton of highway driveing

but 4.10s for a city car, occasional or lite highway would deff be a kick in the pants!

they must be installed by a pro. i paid 300 for an install

but some ppl pay wayyyy to much!

motive is a brand

i love mine but alot of ppl dont like them

motive makes gears for Ford. but they are made in italy

ford gears are made in usa but cost mroe

bearings are what turn in the rear like wheel bearings or bearings on a skate board. theuy are bearings.

new ones are safe insurance that one wont go bad soon.

no after 500 miles of new gears ( break in period ) you should change the oil to get what dust, particles, gear wear has come off out.

not required but reccomended.

Oooooooo. lol ok thank you for the clarification. and i will look into the bearings and definitely change the oil. and depending on the mpg drop between the 3.7 and 4.1 i will get the 4.1 (only because i like taking off fast =P) but parents didnt want me rockin the v8 =( haha

4.10s will def get u closer

gears are my fav mod.

usually witeh 3.73 ull drop 1-2 MPG and with 4.10 2-4 MPG

but if u dont drive highway like 40 miles one way each day ull be ok.

esp if ur an auto

autos love 4.10s!
