Default takeoff questions

Does changing to a 8.8 3.55 Tloc affect any computerized functions on the car? Anything need to be reset? Speedo still read correctly?

Going to drop some coin on some takeoff parts.

GT silver Bullet wheels
GT sway bars
GT rotors

and maybe a 8.8 3.55 Tloc

any help is appreciated!

Yes changing gear ratios will make the speedometer rear wrong ,, it will read that the car is going faster than it is ,, you would need to get it reset , I am not sure a dealer could do it , Most buy a tuner and do it that way ,, I am sure if a dealer could do it they would charge you atleast one hour even though it would take a lot less time than that

if you have a stock rear end itll change. youll need to recalibrate your tune. if youre looking for performance...go with 4:10s or 3:73s. 4:10s are magic for in town driving, stop and go traffic, and QUICK launches. 3:73s or reccomended for f/i applications because it evens out the power and time between gears for maximum boost potential. its also highway friendly and doesnt cut as much gas. i do have one question though that relates....when you recalibrate your tune via your tuner...does it set your speedo to the correct speed?

yes
basicly your car measures how many RPMS are comeing out of your trans then calculates this many revolutions times X = speed.

but if you do this many revolutions times Y = off speed. the tuner just changes y to x basicly.

its like shifting buttons on a calculator.
