Default 2005-2009 Handling packs

I do not post much here but try to read allot, I have not found much on upgrading the handling of my mustang. I have a 2007 V6 coupe with a JLT CAI, screamin demon coil, live wires, and I hope to be installing the FRPP dual exhaust in the morning. Since I will be out of stuff to do to my toy I have to be thinking of the next upgrade. That leaves me looking a catalogs and websites. FRPP has 4 different kits, M-2007-FR3SVT,M-2005-FR3, M-2005-FR3A, AND M-2007-FR3V6. I have not been able to find out exactly what the differences are and if they all will work on a V6. I hope to add a 3.55 rear end, disc brake upgrade and a super charger down the road. So I keep these in mind as I work towards a finished product. Can anyone tell me what the differences are and if they will all work. I want to make the best choice possible.

I hope you also have a tuner, you didn't mention it but it is required with the JLT. On your side points, I would recommend upgrading to at least a 3.73 gear ratio, you won't notice much of a difference with the 3.55, and a upgrade to gt takeoff breaks is great choice and is about all the stopping power you need. Suspension wise you should look into lowering springs. Eibach pro kits are what I have and it helps with cornering and really makes the car look good. Just don't forget to replace the camber bolts so your alignment won't be off. Gt takeoff front and rear sway bars also will help with handling enormous amounts. If you're looking for more then that, check out LCAs.

M-2007-FR3SVT is the GT500 pack
M-2005-FR3 includes dampeners, springs, sways and a strut tower brace. 1.5" drop
M-2005-FR3A-- Not sure.
M-2007-FR3V6 same as M-2005-FR3 only a 1.25" drop

Thanks for the replies, and yes I have an SCT tuner. Had a great time when on a business trip and in a hurry when I could not find 93 octane fuel and screwed up saving my tune. Thought I was in real trouble and it took several hurried attempts before getting my head pulled out of my XXX and slowed down to load it properly. I did learn that with the JTL CIA you can not have the tune off and the engine run. I never get in a hurry when changing the tune any more. I have also talked with a few people who actually blown the computers with performance chips and tuners. That makes for an expensive day.

As for the 4 handling kits, the M-5300-FR3A is the same as the M-5300-FR3 except that it only lowers the car 1 inch.

What I am looking for on this, is will all of these actually fit my V6? I would guess that they will. The other issues is how much difference is there in the performance and ride on the different kits? My guess is that the main difference is the thickness of the parts and that this will affect the ride. I would also guess that the weight difference in the V6, GT, and GT500 will affect the ride and handling of the car. I hear about using GT take off and this would be another option. However, I would guess that FRPP will make the best upgrade. My personal guess (truly a guess at this point) is that if I used the GT500 kit I would have a very harsh ride and not a very fun car. I would also guess that V6 kit my still be on the light side, but I don't know. That is why I have posted, I want to get the correct kit installed, and when they start around $1100, and go up to $1900 plus installation I can not afford to make a mistake here.

The gt 500 kit will not work. The rest will. If you go aftermarket, it will be much cheaper. There really is no need to replace the shocks and struts, they are good enough. The more you drop the car, the rougher the ride. Im at about a 1.5 in drop and its not too rough.

Thanks for the input, then if I go with the FRPP the choice is on the drop, 1 inch, 1.25 inch, 1.5 inch. You sounded like you would recommend something besides FRPP. What would that be?

Im impressed with my Eibach Pro kit for the spings. Its about a 1.5 in drop. You could also get their anti sway bars.
