Realistically add $150 for installation of that lsd unless you can do it yourself.
It should help you to hook up on your launches better but the real 0-60 increases come from changing your gear ratio. Go with 3.73's or 4.10's for more 'go.'

black 05 pony said it. +1 on getting gears while youre at it. 4:10s if you dont plan on f/i.4:10s are real snappy, especially with the 5 sp. actually getting a brand new 8.8 off a GT with youre desired gear ratio will only cost about 300 extra, and youll have a stronger axle. if youre looking at 60' times, get some uca's and lca. improves it greatly. also some sticky mickeys.

Couldn't you just upgrade to an 8.8 rear end from new take off for $700.00 (that's with 3.55 gears)?
Slap it in yourself and no install cost. you get the 8.8, the 3.55 gears, and the tlok all it one whack.

+1 on PLstang getting a whole gt takeoff rear end would get you everything for 750 and you could do it yourself, but keep in mind its not american muscle, their shipping costs will end up costing you more than getting new gears and tloc for your 7.5 and install. if you can find a local gt, maybe in a wreck from the front end, you could probably get a used 8.8 with 3.55 gears and t loc for less than 750. plus an 8.8 would help down the road if you plan on going F/I

May be a dumb question but does switching to a lsd cause any problems with the cars traction control or any other safety features? My Mustang is a blast and I've got a long wishlist for her, but she's a daily driver first and tc is a good thing when you aren't playing around.
The LSD i have is the one listed above from Ford Racing and the only diference you notice is if you have enough horsepower to the wheels, you will feel the car slide side to side instead of just to one side for the instant before the traction control engages
