i understand you werent puttin me down, but maybe on a perfect day, with cool air, and a PERFECT run a stock 4.0 can get into the 14's but its not very likely

its all on the driver dude!

buutttt
before we all get too off topic, i run 4:10s and a T-lok (POSI) in mine and its nuts
the acceleration is awesome! if im in first or even second at a 5-10 mph roll and punch it, it will still spin the rear end! first gear is a little touchy off the line cuz if you give it too much gas you wont go anywhere, only look like a batmobile impostor with a smoke screen
anyways, i went from 3:31s to 4:10s and never looked back, i havnt driven a 3:73 geared car, but im sure the 4:10s would be wayyyy more fun! haha

Oh and by the way...this is my daily driver, i put roughly 50-75 miles on the car a day and more on the weekends, so dont let people fool you into thinking that the 4:10s are not a streetable option!

Yea i really have to agree with you.

I know everything is personal opinion and all that but my car does 0-60 in about 5 flat and has beaten a few of gt's and camaro LS1's at redlights. im sure they would easily take me if we raced on the highway though.

Regardless, i think 4.10s are very fun, and with my aluminum driveshaft going to be put it soon, it should be even more so. 3.31s to 4.10s are is like night and day.

I've heard people estimate .3 seconds off of a 1/4 mile just from t-lok and an additional .3 for the gears. If you can drop your time by .6 or even .5 they'd be well worth it. the posi will let you get more traction off the line and steep gears lke 4.10's will compliment that traction by making you move FAST! til your at a good speed.

If anyone's interested in buying a set of 4.10 gears, frpp traction-lok, and the master bearing kit go on ebay and search "mustang v6 4.10 gears bearing"

The items are new in the box, never been opened and will sell for about 100 dollars less than they would off of American Muscle once you add tax.
