Default Roush Hood Scoop Install

I am considering a Roush Hood Scoop. How hard is it to install myself? I understand that I will need to paint the scoop. I may decide to paint it black rather than Windveil Blue... Still up in the air on that.

Since it is a small piece I should be able to get factory spray paint and clear coat in a can. Any other suggestions? Since I have never painted car parts before what type of prep work does the scoop need? Primer, sanding (type of sandpaper), etc.....

Cool... I have some questions. Does it come with the correct drill bit? Are they bolts with nuts or just screws? Did you have to take the underhood lining off to get this done?

You might check this out at amazon. I bought mine from them over christmas, pretty good price too. Amazon.com: Roush Performance 401799 Hood Scoop Kit: Automotive
BTW only one left at the time I posted. Double check but the 401799 is the color code for roush for the windveil blue. Good luck I just had the body shop put mine on and I love it!!

Here's a test shot I took of mine the other day after the install of the scoop and chin spoiler!

Thanks for the help. It looks like that might be my next purchase. If I can get over drilling holes.

dont be scared, just think no big deal. check out my install post link in post#2. it shows how easy it is. i gotta say, i like this scoop, where it sits, the size, the fact it bolts on, everything. as good as it looks from the outside, its even cooler when your driving. not a very good inside pic, but you get the idea.
