Question Sequential LED Tails???

I've already got sequential rear tails on my 07 convertible. Can I some how incorperate Anzo's LED rear tails?? I really want sequential LED tails.

k thnx,

I do know that some major modification is in order due to harness wiring differences. Mainly because of the little modules on each harness (LED vs Sequential) that controls light functions.

Ok here is the info I have. In order to make the LED taillights into the full sequentials you will first need to take apart both taillight housing to access the inside most light set on each one. Then you would need to add the same type of ballast to them that the two outside bulb sets use. After that, you should be good to go, except for the fact that the sequential wiring harnesses usually cause bulb failure, which you don't want with the LED taillights, because nobody makes a replacement bulb set. That is why I have learned to be happy with just the LED's.

The problem with LEDs is that they have much less resistance than light bulbs and that hoses up the sequencer which uses the resistance for timing. A solution would be to do some research and find out what the resistance is of stock light bulbs (try the bulb manufacturers websites). Then put a resistor inline with each LED cluster equal to the resistance of the stock bulb minus the resistance of the LEDs (you're making up the difference in the resistance of the bulbs).

Here's the email I recieved from Anzo regarding this...
Quote:
Hi Alan,

At this time we have not test our unit with Sequential unit and our
factory have not plan on making the unit with sequential due to cost.

Sincerely,

Moss Muscle has a kit that just replaces the light bulbs with LED clusters and a sequential system.

The only thing wrong with "Animal's" choice is that uses a single bulb equal to OEM. I was looking for something like below...

Sorry that wasn't exactly what you were looking for. I actually prefer the stock taillights and until someone designs a full LED taillight that I actually like, I'm gonna go with the kit from MossMuscle. Good luck, I hope you find what you're looking for.
