Question Badge/ emblem removal?

Hey guys, i was thinking of removing my badges on the side of my 07, but i am not sure how they are attached, i know there is tape behind them but is there also pins. Also if you have any pictures after you removed your it would be great.

3m tape and locating pins. There will be holes in the fender when you remove them

My buddy did that. And it does look awful. He put some little plugs in the holes.

I removed mine without any trouble. First get a can of 3M adhesive remover. Mask off the tape stripe below the emblem, if you have one, to protect it from the adhesive remover. Spray on some adhesive remover and let it get behind the emblem to soften the adhesive tape for a few minutes. Then take some fine mono-filament fishing line and use a sawing motion to cut through the tape behind the emblem. You will have to work it around the two pins. It should take you about 5 minutes to get the emblem off. One you get the emblem off, use the adhesive remover to soften up the adhesive tape and clean it off the paint. This part will take you a little longer than getting the emblem off, maybe another 10 minutes. Let the remover soak in good to make it easier.

I replaced my emblem with set of 4.0 emblems. I like the look better than the tri-color emblem. I hope this helps you.
