Alright i had my 2008 vista blue vert mustang v6 for about three weeks now its completely stock and its time for an upgrade. I have been decidign on what to do first and i decided to get an exhaust first.. can i get some suggestion on what exhaust to get and try to keep it under 250 will go up if worth it. I would like dual exhaust but if single gives me same sound and power ill take it. Also tell me where to get it . thanks guys much appreciated.

wil the gt take offs give my car a more powerful v8 sound?
Installing GT mufflers will not make your car sound like a V8. I have them and I'm very pleased with the look and the sound, but you would never mistake the sound for a V8 powered car. I knew that going in to this. I'd absolutely do it all over again, but I can't stress enough that it does not sound like a GT.
To do the complete conversion, first you need a set of GT take-off mufflers, Then you can go to the dealer and buy the left side mid pipe for a GT. It is a mirror image of the right side v6 pipe that you already have. Then you will need a set of (2) hangars for the left side muffler. The mounting holes are already there. The bolts will self tap into the mounting holes. Then take your parts to a muffler shop and have them cut the existing "Y" pipe behind the catalytic converters. Then either fabricate an "H" pipe, or simply have them bend up the two short short pieces of pipe you need to connect left-over two parts of the former "Y" pipe to the existing V6 mid pipe on the right side and to the new GT mid pipe on the left side.
There are other ways to do this, and you may decide you want an "X" pipe, but what I described is the way I had mine done, without an "H" or "X" pipe. It sounds really nice, but not like a GT. I have yet to hear a 6 cylinder engine that has the sound of V8 engine.
I put a GT rear bumper on mine and it was a really simple job, but you can easily cut the bumper to accommodate the left side exhaust. You can do a search here to get some instructions for cutting your bumper. It's really very simple.
The firing order is the primary sound sig of the V8 mustang. The 6 isn't that much smaller in displacement, but due to the different firing order, it will never sound like the 8. No big deal, but go into it looking for a BETTER sound than a stock six, not an exact v-8 sound, or you might be a bit dissapointed. The guy at my muffler shop correctly quoted "this thing sounds like a ferrari now" when I had my pypes true duals. It does. With the x pype and violators, it has a very euro sports car sound, even on acceleration. Sounds much meaner than a stock setup, and doesn't sound like a fart can, but it definately doesn't sound like a GT.
I got the Flowmaster American thunder on mine and one sounds great i took it this way, first just do one then later when i have some more cash i'll get another.

Wow what a great compliment! I agree too, the v6 with a good exhaust sounds "race-ier" and less loud muscle car sound, if that makes any sense
