Hey everyon, im hoping someone can help me. Ok so the problem is my tailights are working but brake light..thats where the problem lies. When i push the brake only the outer colum works on passenger side and two outer colums work on driver side but all lights work when lights are on just not the inner brake lights, i've checked the bulbs/replaced all of them and checked the (boo) fuse and its good but replaced it anyway, still i cannot get them to work!! also license plate light is extremely dim, had the flashing lights behind me a few times now due to the problem can someone please please help!!
Ok first off, all three lights on each side don't light up for braking, just the outside two. So out of six lights, 4 light up for braking. Now you say that all the lights work when your lights are on, then the low side of the bulbs are fine, but since they are dual stage bulbs, I would take apart the side that only one light lights up and replace that bulb. Should fix your problem.

Yeah, the stock mustang only has the two outer lights coming on when braking. Unless you have the ,highly recommended, sequential tail lights. But even when you get sequentials when you click the lock button twice on your remote it will act like a stock brake lights.
If running sequentials, then all 6 lamps light up for braking. Are you running sequentials or LED's?? Reason I ask is because on my first set of sequentials I had a bad harness & had the exact same problem. I changed out the effected harness & problem disappeared. I assumed some sort of feedback to the switch...LIcense plate light & brake lights fine now.

I see this problem on alot of recent mustangs. I just wonder why people don't take their cars back to the dealership or even notice that their taillights aren't working right. I think the big tip would be that one of your turn signals blinks faster than the other.
