Default 2006 V6 Coupe rear sway bar install - what hardware is needed

Good Morning All,
I just recieved my GT take-off rear sway bar from Ninosport. I checked my repair manual for the correct fasteners to use, but could not find any information. So, what do I need for fasteners? Do I have to go to the dealer for these or can I get them at Lowe's or Home Depot?

Thanks,

You can get the necessary bolts, washers and nuts from your Ford dealer, but someone else posted that they used the hardware kit from Steeda, #555-1061 for $14.95. Steeda Front & Rear Swaybar Kit - '05-'09 Ford Mustang

Thanks,

Here are the sizes:

4- 5/16 x 1 Grade 5 or better bolts

2- 7/16 x 2 1/2 grade 5 or better bolts

Lock Nuts for all the bolts

You will also need

4- 5/16 flat washers

4- 3/8 flat washers*

* The lower bracket on the axle housing Has large holes for the clips so you will need the larger washers for that reason.

Yes that was me, the Steeda hardware kit is good quality only thing is washers are a little small so I double up with next size washers just in case.

Make sure you torque everything under load.

you can part stuff together from local hardware stores with what cmfoster gave u. get nylon lock nuts too, cuz sway bars are notorious for coming loose and causing noise. the washers are a must also, or else itll fall through the hold in the rear brackets. you will love the upgrade, the difference is very apparent.
