Default New Carpet -- Anyone with recommendations? Help!

Im trying to change my interior from camel to black, I can't seem to find anyone that reproduces the black carpet correctly -- its reproduced but its the same carpet you would order for any other car, you cut to fit. Does anyone reproduce accurate carpet?

I've found it used but no one's willing to ship!!

Thanks guys

I didn't know what year you had when I recommended them. That leaves you 2 options. Have a upholstery shop make one or order one from Ford.

Well I ordered a set supposedly made for the 05 and up Mustang but its no different then carpet for any other car so i'd have to mold the hell out of it to make it work.

How do you go about ordering one from Ford? I didn't know you could!

Wow that does look much nicer!

I bought a set that said it was meant for the 05-09 Mustang, but its obvious its the same thing you purchased! I figure as long as I lay the old carpet on top of the new stuff, and use an iron and glue, i can get it to work just as well...guess I was just hoping to avoid all of the hassle and hoping someone reproduced the right stuff. When i removed mine and then re-installed it, it plops right back into place which is awesome.

Thanks guys, guess i know what im doing tomorrow!

A trick for installing carpet. If it's warm enough outside. lay it out in the sun and let it warm up. It's easier to mold. You can also try a heat gun CAREFULLY on the spots that require the most molding. Ford carpet should be available through a Ford dealer that has a parts department. I think the Ford website has a link to replacement parts. They are only offering parts for 2005 and up....unfortunately for me.

It will come in a box rolled up so like said before you will need to set it out in the sun and let it relax a bit first ,, Your old carpet will have plasic forms stapled to it ,, that keeps its form the new will not ,My installer used a spray on glue to hold it in place , I am sure factory carpet is way expensive over the after market ones , I paid 124.00 with free shipping for mine

Once you get the carpet positioned like you want it, you can spray adhesive on the backside of the carpet and on the insulation in the molded areas to keep it down. Also spray the firewall section of the carpet to keep it from falling. Which reminds me, my '03 needs touched up on the firewall. I use 3M for adhesives. Use a razorblade to make holes in the carpet for seat bolts, console bolts, etc...

Go to stockinteriors.com, I havent bought my new carpet yet, but the site sells the carpet premolded to fit your car, on ebay i looked at their custor reviews and every 2005-2008 carpet bought was given a good review so this could be a good choice for you...
