is the fluid full ? normally the standard doesn't get that hot compare to the auto, because there's not to many moving parts in stick shift that's why they put cooler for the auto but not in standard shift, most cases, but i'm sure some guys here will give you some ideas

i know its full when i did clutch i drianedit.. ALL OF IT and put in new fluid. its always been hot... but now its almost almost just notquite there... but burning the skin.
i can just imagine my poor seals... ima take it to ford one of these days.

i have yet to find some one else who when changing their oil ( every 2000 miles or when they get bored ) details the under side of their car.

Standard procedure with road race cars. Use a Tilton electric oil pump and AN lines/fittings.
For a cooler, use a B&M radiant type with an attached fan. Not that expensive, compact, durable.
However, I have never seen this done on a street car. There's just no need for it. Maximum temp is somewhere around 250-280*. Have you actually checked the oil temp with a probe type thermometer? I'd bet you're not all that hot.
Picka nice hot day with blazing sun. Drive 30 minutes up the highway and back in 4th gear. Stick the thermometer into the fill hole and see what you get.

all i know is that shifter gets hotter than it used too.
i may do it just to be cool. dont need a fan, ill mount lower. aair pass through cold. dont need a draw on it
