Default Which Aluminum DS To Buy?

give me some options to research....id like to hopefully place the order this weekend. i want a 4" aluminum with a safety loop. powerhouse is the only one iv looked at. if you have experience with any..let me know what u think..performance increase? im not expecting much...but losing 23lbs of rotational mass sounds like a good idea with my new gears and axle.

spydershafts are supposed to be pretty good too
i think with a lighter driveshaft your MPG will drop a little too

Why would the MPG drop?

less rotational mass so the engine isn't working as hard to go a certain speed i guess... but id be surprised if it decreased more than .5mpg....

anyway go shaftmasters. cheapest one around for great quality

If the engine wasn't "working as hard" with the lighter D/S I would think that your MPG'S would stay the same or might go up a tad.Just a guess here though.Powerhouse or Shaftmaster.

A while back I emailed Powerhouse and asked if they had any info on performance numbers with the aluminum DS for the 6. They said they didn't have any numbers as of that time. I'd imagine it would be a pretty nice improvement though. Go ahead and free up some more ponies, let em run wild!

Default nice improvement

I have a Shaftmasters D/S and a CHE D/S Loop, I like them both, I have a 4" D/S. I think you will be very pleased with both and reasonably priced.

Apparently shaftmaster and powerhouse both seem to be good reliable options. Now all you gotta do is find out which is right for you and what you feel most comfortable in buying.

Either way, good luck to you!
